The Story So Far:

a shrill cry of frustration howled from Ice as Daemian took to the air. he did not hesitate to leap up as the escort attempted escape, chilly teeth pricking his leg as his maw clamped down. It felt like cold needles being punctured right through the limb, the canines especially sticking out from the other side quite prominently. the cold was unbearably painful, just like dry ice it was not wise to come within contact of the beast. a muffled 'got you fucker' was barely audible through his full mouth. he was heavy, ridiculously heavy. it was a wonder ice could even move like he did.

the elemental wanted to secure his catch, a girthy arm swinging back before his large paw like hand came down on daemian's waist. retched claws sunk into his flesh, pulling and ripping at him with feral strength. the same bone chilling cold sunk in, inflicting the skin with the beginnings of frostbite within mere moments of contact.

ice's fur started to bristle, it would probably be like landing in a briar patch or on top of a porcupine if daemian were to come in contact with it. ouchie ouchie.

Daemian's howl of pain came from him as the ice teeth shredded through his leg. It hurt, oh damn it HURT! The teeth pulled him free from the sky, tearing him back down onto the ground. His leg was broken, he was bleeding profusely.

His control slipped.

And that was when he snapped.

A manic grin came across his face, eyes narrowing into thin slivers of black and red. Oh he had no idea what he had called down upon him. Oh that son of a bitch had absolutely no idea. As he still had the grip around his leg, Daemian's other foot lashed out to strike ice's maw off. As for the arm, Daemian called upon the dead around him, ignoring the army. He released them.

Muscle lashed to bone, the dead pushing through the ground. A beast, muscular and similar to an anthro dog, missing it's lower jaw, parts of muscle and bone, rose it's arm to block the repeating strikes from Ice. Daemian took the chance to use his arms to push against the ground below him, shoving him away from the monster as his own pushed and held back Ice from his attacks. Powers manipulating his snapped leg, it quickly bent and realigned, before Daemian stood. The fucking agony from the movement didn't phase him at all. His hand rose. After a split second of twisting his powers into it, his hand flashed out.

He cast it into his own monster's skin, the beast's bones snapping suddenly to almost try and grab Ice around the waist and lock onto there, the extra weight hopefully slowing him down. His other hand drew up the darkness in his being, the bones rising from the ground, hands lashing out to grab Ice, tear his fur-like from his body. If the hands managed to hold Ice down for a few moments, Daemian would spring forward, the hard wing aiming for Ice's forehead to stun him.

Oh how he wanted to paint the stars with that things blood!

For a moment, ice felt victorious. He grinned a toothy, canine smile. The stress would be gone, it'd be over soon. He could rest. His mind was already straining, trying to reel back from this beastly primal form only to be reignited with a fresh flame as Daemians strong counter strike was thrown into motion.

A deep roar of frustration was cut off abruptly as his muzzle was kicked off. Large chunks of frozen water hitting the ground only to shatter further. He struggled to keep his gaze locked unto Daemian, the distractions from his summoned minions quickly grabbing his attention. He turned his eyes to the horrifying dog that stood before him.

He didn't like this thing at all, it was just annoying. All the elemental was resorted to was silently struggling, lashing out and throwing his head around trying to get a good attack in. Anger and fear was turning to a truly livid physical tantrum. He didn't bleed, he didn't show any trace of pain. Ice was rendered useless, stuck to take Daemians wing attack full on.

The beast's head literally cracked, splintering down his neck and what remained of his head. Ice suddenly reverted to his human form, body limp and eyes foggy. He didn't seem to be thinking at all, only able to muster the words, "spar me..." in a barely audible, quite voice. His clothes and hair were a mess, disheveled though not torn. To any sort of sadist, the elementals current state was adorably vulnerable. just like before, he had been forced motionless without the ability to properly think. it was a truly vicious cycle.

Erynn pressed her wings as far as they would carry her.

She stood over the Necrotian Wastelands- exactly where Roshan had told her to go. Her spacial bubble was around her, concealing her presence from anything that would notice her. Swallowing, she did a quick turn about- before Blinking again. Six miles, down the path, to where the rugged landscape had just concealed the cusp of the area.

There.

Horror filled the Seraphym as she gazed down onto her... Partner.

Beside her, Dominus shook his head. He's pressing too far. This is the furthest I've seen him. Looking to her, he chuckled. Maybe you shouldn't do anything, just to see where this will go.. Oh my. A cry left her as Erynn saw Dae stitch his leg, just to stand on it. He was hurting himself more than helping.

Fantell dissipated just as Dominus opened his mouth, her body shooting forward to put herself above the pair. Daemian had just leaped, his wings stretching out. She was too late to stop his hitting the being- alarm filtering through her as the beast shifted into a feminine figure.

Thrusting her hands to the side, two fissures of bright violet light opened- rope launching out to wrap around the Angel before moving upwards to hold him above the icy wolf-man. Another six opened- surrounding the beast. Fire blazed in their depths.

"Move, and I fire."

Folding her wings, she landed with a gentle WHUMP. Her mismatched eyes met both the beast's and her partners, hurt deep within her depths. A monster of bone and decayed flesh held the blue being aloft, dread filling her heart as she saw how complete the form was. A black drop of ooze hit her skin, a hiss of pain coming from her lips as the liquid gave off knowledge of what had happened.

"Dark save my soul, I should've gone with you Daemian. Why didn't you tell me where you were going? Why did Roshan have to send me here after you?"

Lips curling, she tossed her hands to the sides- the ropes releasing the Angel she loved before the fissures holding them closed. Wrapping her arms around herself, she took a cautious step forward.

His.. His eyes.. They weren't Daemian's.

Fear put an icy spire into her chest, just as she immediately stood back. Dear Light, he's gone too far... Erynn? Erynn snap out of it, it's still Daemian! You can't not help him! Swallowing, she bit her lip, before anger filled her. Turning her head, a snarl came over her face, wings spreading to their full span as they mimicked the night sky above. Daylight flooded them, eyes blazing amber. "You. You did this to him."

That fucking asshole got what he deserved, and here he was, begging for mercy. Oh, how that tone, that fucking tone in his voice made Daemian squirm. To show weakness in the sights of death. The Necromancer's wings unfurled, flapping twice more to be over him. That was when his wing was drawn back, descending him into a sharp and sudden dive, his hand connecting-

Some sort of rope jerked across his body, Daemian's voice turning into a snarl. His hand rose to the ropes, his fingers curling around to try and tear them from his skin. Heh, that stupid bitch tried to touch his creation, the black blood across it's skin almost burning her skin. Fucking hell, it should teach her a fucking lesson, his lip pulling into an angry snarl. Only to falter at her voice, a flicker of concern crossing his face. Why on earth was this girl here...?

He snorted. "Yes. Come with me. Because I'm oh so vulnerable." He snapped at her, the ropes letting him go and he snarled as the impact shot agony through his leg, driving him further downhill. His eyes could see that soul dancing, the emotions heavily dancing across to the orange that was so familiar to him. That was when he froze.

Erynn...?

A look of horror crossed over his face, his hand raising. Forcefully and completely against its wishes, he forced his eyelids to close. As soon as he did, his leg flaring in agony as he collapsed onto his knee, a cry of pain ripping from his lips. "Erynn, no..." His voice cracked in the pain he felt, "Request... Vy's... father." His eyes opened, pain laced through them.

Oh wait.

Well that was a fucking stupid mistake, letting that Celestial cave into his own pain. With a chuckle, he pushed himself back up to his feet, wings slightly beating to keep at least some of the weight from his broken leg. It wasn't as if the pain hurt him too much anyway. A smirk pulled across his face, arm lashing out to catch Erynn's arm. "Really, you think that just letting that freak out's a good idea, hmm? Maybe you should let me meet him, I can see them both flaring underneath your skin!" His voice, harsher, much harsher than he could ever have managed, forced through his teeth.

"You know, that's rather rude, stopping me from murder, only to do it yourself. Look at you, you're so..."

His teeth slammed shut, baring the carved structures at her, the red pupils boring into her and that pathetic human, the Celestial desperately trying to calm himself down. But that was only done by physically shutting that eye and there was no way Daemian could even will himself to move- almost as if it were like clawing for a piece of rope which was made out of the darkness itself. He'd never be able to grab it!

Ice watched the scene between daemian and the stranger play out with an aloof expression. He could hardly comprehend what was going on, mind like a heavy fog bank. He tried to move only to find that he was still stuck in place by the escort's minions. Under normal circumstances, he figured, he might have been able to get free but right now... he was but a welp.
The scuffled registered as 'intense' to Ice though. It was short, but between daemian's mental struggle and the person plummeting from the sky to suddenly partake in what was going on he was so deeply confused. Questions would have to come later, when he could actually... form words in his head.

As the stranger wrangled and seem to bring calm to the necromancer, his mind slowly cleared. The situation was settling down and he could finally even out his breathing and calm down. Who was this person anyway? They seemed important, really important to Daemian at least and also incredibly powerful. Being able to hold the out of control necromancer back was impressive. Either they had an emotional bond or the stranger truly had some unique and powerful magic. No, it wasn't one or the other is was definitely both.

All the logic in him said to stay silent, to let them have their moment and just pray he'd be sparred. After all, there had to repercussions for what he did. The stranger and necromancer surely were very reasonably pissed or upset. Against all this though, he spoke up.

"Daemian... I'm.... I am so sorry." he chocked. ice could feel the gross sensation of his eyes watering up, "I was so scared." he whispered, the blearing of his eyes turning to small sobs as he tilted his head down. He occasionally took in a sharp breath, trying to fight against his emotions. The elemental's body trembled, teeth clenching a bit. This was embarrassing, humiliating, and clearly not very manly. He couldn't stop what was already in motion though, much harder sobs uttering from him. These zombies were touching him, holding him back and guilt felt like it was boiling in his innards, tearing them apart with a painful heat. Being a creature made of emotion, there was no way for him to hide it.

Retreating under a rock sounded extra nice right now though. What a disgrace. He wanted to collapse and sob like a newborn but managed to stay upright. The tears were making him feel quite lightheaded, or maybe it was transformation from earlier. Ya.. probably both. This sucked.

Anger flared through Erynn as Daemian held her back, eyes widening as he gripped her. "This isn't Dominus. This is me being angry." Though.. Her voice sounded so.. So odd..

Sobs came to her ears, wings stiffening at the noise. Baring her teeth back to Daemian, her body went back into motion- leaping into the grip while twisting her calves around- shins hitting down on either side of the Celestial before using her momentum to flip them both backwards. Her wings acted as balancers, taking a moment to press her knee in between his shoulder blades.

"No. I'm not going back to Vance. I never want to see him again, I don't care. I hate the control that he gives Dominus, and I fucking hate the way he looks at you. You want to fight, fine. I hate doing this. I hate all of this!" Snarling, her eyes darted up to the man locked in the grip of the Zombies. "And you! What fucking gave you the gods be damned right to fucking make him like this? You were scared?!"

Drawing out her bow from the air, quiver shimmering into life, she notched a blazing arrow and aimed it at him.

"You were scared of him protecting you!?"

Bunching up her muscles, she took a deep breath, body trembling in anger. The ooze that Daemian always gave off in this.. predicament was all over her arms from the grapple, burning and flat out pissing her off. "I want to spare you. God I want to hug you and tell you everything is okay. But look! I SAID LOOK YOU FUCKING EXCUSE OF AN ELEMENTAL. You pushed him over, I've never fucking seen him like this. Do you know how fucking angry this makes me? I could fucking ruin whatever fucking mission he's on and not give a single fuck. All because YOU did this. Look at your actions, and fucking understand them."

Swallowing she quickly got up, sending away her weapons once more into the void before looking over to Dae's leg- god it was bad. The ooze was more or less keeping it in place, but the skin had broken in several areas, blood clear as day mixed within it.

That little bitch reacted with a strength that he didn't anticipate, her legs cracking against his side to send him straight into the ground. The sharp stabbing pain indicated a few broken ribs from that impact, the breath being knocked from him. Instantly he hissed, trying to bite it back but only to have her dig her knee into his back. The eye refused to shut, no matter how much that Celestial tried to fight against it.

Patiently, he waited, but the grip around Ice from the mutilated creature ceased, the corpse being all but thrown back into the ground. His breath came to him in shuddering gasps, struggling to keep those other masses at bay. But why was he even holding them back anymore?

It was with that thought that Erynn released her grip.

And Daemian acted straight away. His left arm pushed him upwards, right hand lashing out- and catching her throat. Instantly, he began to d-
Oh hell no. The grip released, the gunmetal grey seeping back into the iris of his left eye. His hand moved, ignoring the bloodied leg as he cupped her jaw, thumb stroking her cheek.

Light knew this was the only thing that'd force Daemian to calm down. Through partially clenched teeth, he begged her for one thing.

"Erynn, the... Eye... close it... please... beforeIhurtyou..."

Ice gratefully fell to his knees, pulling his beanie almost over his eyes. He took what erynn said to heart, finding no words that could make it better or reasonably reply with. clearly he was in the wrong and had caused all this trouble indeed. his hands slowly moved to cover his face and muffle hard sobs as he bent forward with his head almost touching his knees. There was nothing to make it better or make up for things. Perhaps punishment would be the best prescription.

Lost in his own self pity and mental strain, the elemental inadvertently ignored what was going on around him for the most part. Oh what he would do to be home, to be alone with his stuffed friends and peaceful silence. What would Vance make of all this? A subordinate that couldn't keep his act together? It was disgraceful. There was no way he'd get out of this unscathed.

After taking some more deep breaths and a good chunk of time to calm down, Ice shifted to get up and dry his eyes. It hurt to stand but it wasn't undoable. He stared at the crippled Daemian with a look of deep pity and remorse. Sniffling, ice took off his jacket then his shirt, ripping it into strips. The elemental was not very built, sure a little toned and clearly healthy but his figure was slim and almost dainty, "will this help..?" he asked solemnly as he very slowly approached the two. It was time to be an adult and stop wallowing.

He left his jacket on the ground, it wasn't important right now, "er, for your leg. that doesn't look good... this might help the bleeding?" Daemian's blood was... creepy. There was some sort of weird ooze, black and unsettling.

Before she could do anything to help his leg, Daemian flipped over- hand grasping around her throat. Erynn's eyes widened, the grasp around her carotid arteries tightening. Tears sprung into her eyes, body refusing to defend herself from what Daemian was doing aside from latching onto his ooze covered arms.

The grip immediately changed, along with the look in his eye. His words were hurried, just as she reached out- thumb pressing his right eyelid down as far as it would go. "I hope.. This helps..." Dark's energy lashed out, striking a band of midnight blue over his eye. She was still gasping from air- the grip he had used surprisingly hard.

Backing away, she took deep gulps of air, struggling with her anxiety. She wanted to run, to leave them both there, to abandon everything and just hide in the In Between. Sucking in a breath, her eyes darted to the man that Daemian was to guard. Clearing her throat, it gave her a task. Lifting up, she gently took the scraps before looking towards her... Boyfriend? Gods, that was still an odd word to use.

"Daemian... I need you to be still.. I can't get the dust just yet, Dark's interfering with me too much now that I'm.. I'm hurt, I just need you to deal with this until I calm down."

The ooze that had covered her arms had already eaten through her skin, a nasty hue of red under the black. She'd have to clean it off soon, but Daemian's leg was much more life-threatening.

As soon as his eye was shut, agony laced through him. Dark's energy faintly melded onto his face, but Daemian really didn't have a care for that. His wings faltered, his hands and knees slamming onto the ground, baring his teeth painfully. Daemian's leg ached. His ribs ached. His whole body felt like it was on fire, having dipped far to far into whatever the hell his eye belonged to. But he didn't care what he felt.

He'd hurt her. He could hear it in her voice. "I'm.. I'm so... so sorry about that." His voice felt and sounded like it was going through a blender. Dammit, he hurt! He rolled himself onto his back, grey eye glistening with pain. But he refused to shed any tears. Rising his gaze to Erynn, he felt his breath catch in his throat. The temptation to use his eye, to catch her and use that scarf to clear that toxin from her... "Ice, you need to clear the... The black from her before... it eats much deeper." Daemian all but demanded from the man, partially not accepting that previous apology that had came from him as he tore the scarf free from his neck. Scars on his neck were blackened, but no blood had come forth.

It took Daemian enough effort not to cave before that beast in charge of him and, when Ice attacked, he'd all but been thrown over the edge. But that wasn't what was going through his mind.

Daemian had hurt Erynn. His girlfriend. That in itself was unacceptable. All his mind was able to comprehend was how horrible that was through the lacing pain of his leg. And, seeming his eye shut, red blood was beginning to pour from the wounds, the frostbite already setting in from Ice's bite. Was it Ice? Was it someone else...? Wasn't it a wolf?

Daemian shook his head, eyes partially narrowing. Goodness it was getting hard to concentrate. Upon Erynns request, he felt his muscles start to give in as he laid rather suddenly on his back, keeping his leg completely still. The only thing moving was his chest as he breathed. Goodness everything was fuzzy, disorientation hitting from blood loss. But... Erynn... why, oh why did he have to hurt her? Why did Ice attack him? He...

Didn't Ice understand that Daemian was just trying to help..? Blackened clouds started to take chunks from his vision, his eyes shutting. Broken ribs. Excessive bleeding. Potentially internal bleeding. Far out that Eye did a number on him.

But Light, he'd never forgive himself for having her neck in his hands... Oh Erynn... Why was he so foolish?

Ice felt relief as erynn accepted his offer. it made him feel a bit better emotionally and therefore physically. He wanted to apologize over and over again but now really just wasn't the time. they were both in clear agony, and it was his fault. why would they accept a mere 'sorry' ? he sure as hell wouldn't if he were them, "he needs to warm up a bit too i... think? frostbite and all, here..." ice wandered back to grab his jacket and came over, setting it beside daemian to cover his leg after it was bandaged. it was a vain attempt to help.

He silently watched them ever so nervously, tormented by the fact he couldn't help. The elemental stewed in thought, there had to be something else he could do even if it was almost minuscule...

His eyes wandered to the black gloop that their new female addition had sustained as soon as daemian mentioned it. He ran a hand through his hair with an anxious expression, "well... um... will water wash it out? if you have a lighter or something we could... melt my arm." he grimaced really hard saying this, expression twisted with conflicted feelings about it, "It could wash daemian's wound too a little."
fuck, that was going to hurt though if they took his offer. please no, please god no.
He couldn't think of another solution though...

Ice's hectic thoughts were interrupted as he stared at Daemian. fuck he was in so much pain... "h-hang in there..." he muttered, eyes locked unto the poor fellow. oh why couldn't he have been born a healer of some sort?

"Hush, Dae."

One of the arrows fired from the portal, her hand catching the blazing shaft before lighting one of the pieces of fabric on fire, other hand laying it over her arms- searing the wounds shut with a hiss of pain. The black ooze evaporated, mostly, and left a fine coating of dust on her arms before she went to work on Daemian.

Taking the arrow, she gently pressed the cherry red metal on his wounds- cauterizing them shut. It was all she could do for now.

You're not very good at this medical thing, are you?

Before she could respond, daylight flooded her wings- hands moving to the rope through one of the portals before grabbing a slightly straight stick. Putting it against Daemian's leg, her body wrapped the rope around it to make a splint. Of course, it was a hastily made one and probably wouldn't be much help for too long. "While typically I would accept your offer to see your eyes dance in agony, I cannot afford such at this point in time. It'd be a waste."

Dark slammed into her mind like a freight train, moonlight flooding the orange away from her wings. The bandage that was around Daemian's eye slipped down his body like ink, wrapping tight around his leg. With a slightly sick crunch, it gave him a sort of corsette, too. Bitterness filled her- she had done that to him. She'd punish herself later.

"We need to go. Where are we supposed to deliver you."

Her scolding, Ice's words, they blurred together into a wonderful mess of confusion. He'd be a liar if he admitted he knew exactly what was going on. How frown pulled more, glaring at Erynn as she pressed the hot metal against herself. His red scarf, not taken by either of them, fell from his grip, his arm resting beside him. Holy crap she was gorgeous, even with the wings that suddenly... Oh no.

Red metal burned against his skin, the wounds searing shut. His hand tightened into a fist, his teeth slammed shut and being held together with a force that murdered his teeth. But it'd keep him from crying out in agony and freaking her out, even if it were just for a little. The hint of orange began to bloom and Daemian tried to push through the fog, raise himself to try and hold her, burn away the yellows that flared like the sun from her wings. Erynn just needed to calm down, he- A strangled cry of pain tore from his lips, the splint crunching against his skin. Ropes held it firmly against him, the frostbite damage pushing through him.

He did his damned best not to move. Such an action would not only distract her, but also make Erynn more worried. His gaze flicked to Ice, then back to Daemian's scarf. Did he really not understand why the Angel had taken that away from his mouth? He tried to make it clear that that was something that he could use to clear the vile stuff from Erynn's skin. He didn't want that burning any deeper into her skin.

The darkness closed further into his mind as the cool powers of Dark trailed down his skin. He didn't have the energy to shout when it tightened against his ribs. His eye watched her, noting the murky expression on her face. That, combined with what she had done, was enough for him to know that Erynn wouldn't forgive herself. Not so easily. Daemian tried to make a note to himself. Tend to her later. After he was more alert. "Scientist..." Daemian's voice forced the words through his teeth, breathing even was trying to murder him. "Meeting two... miles from here... Home, half collapsed."

... Nope. That's all he was going to help with, his mind embracing the pain free darkness.

Ice flinched and looked away as the wounds were sealed shut with intense heat. He almost frantically moved away from the operating zone. The heat triggered such deep rooted quite reasonable fear.
Once it had been melted shut however, ice very hesitantly came over and placed a pleasantly cool hand over his wound with a wince. It took the edge off the left over effects of the intense heat but of course, caused the elemental a little pain. Water slid over daemian's skin, cutting through just a bit of the grim on the necromancer's skin. This felt like such a brutal approach but well, it had to be done.

"Hey uh, thanks for coming here." he stated to Erynn in an incredibly anxious voice. He laughed a bit awkwardly, "where'd you come from anyway? who sent you?" erynn's presence had indeed come out of nowhere to Ice, this stranger was probably connected to entities he didn't want to meet.

After Daemian spoke Ice added to it, "We're carrying out a mission for Vance. It was suppose to be quick and easy but ya know, I fucked it up pretty good." boy, could he make it any more awkward? he wanted to facepalm himself.

The elemental cursed under his breath, keeping his eyes away from Daemian's face. He didn't want to touch that scarf that hide something so hideous even though it had clearly been given to help with the goo. Oh well, it was too late for that now and anyway, probably best not to have the stuff touch anything period.
Ug, no. His disgust was traceable in his expression as he glanced back over at him for just a second, "can we cover his face back up, please?" he muttered after the necromancer had passed out. It was quite, the hurtful statement.
He fell deep in thought for a long moment, "can we carry him for two miles or is it going to be hard? maybe it's faster to go back..." he winced, no there was no way he was going back in the mission, "I don't have the strength to carry him that's for sure." he stated.

Erynn's eyes narrowed, glaring at Ice before gently picking up Daemian's scarf- wiping off the black ooze from her arms. Lightly, she wrapped his scarf around his mouth before shaking her head. "If it weren't for the fact that we had to take you somewhere, I would fucking punch you in the face for the look you just gave him." Holding her arms out, two fissures erupted- the violet light spewing out more rope to carefully wrap around Daemian's prone body before lifting him up. With another couple of waves, she lifted the portals up to carry him.

"I don't need your strength."

Disgust filled her as she glared at Ice, before she shook her head. She began to travel in the distance pointed out, arms raising to bring Fantell around the trio in an orb of hazy heat- without the heat of course. They were unknown to the world around them. Beside her, Dominus' orange form raised up from the ground, along with Dark's shadowy form. They always did when she used this...

"Interesting choice. But I suppose we would aid you in seeing the rest of your surroundings, no?"

Rolling her eyes, she chose to ignore the being- even when he smiled towards Ice. "Ignore them. They're not really here. It just.. They're part of me. I'm sorry. Fuck. Can you just lead us where we're supposed to go? I only have so much concentration to give here. And most of it's centered around my unconscious boyfriend, who- THANK YOU -is in a very rough state of being. I can't help him because of my own fucking injuries."

Ice gave her an equally shitty look back. He got up to his feet as Erynn took care of their unconscious buddy, "very touching. your kindness really touches my soul." he scuffed. eh who could blame her for saying that though? he shrugged and stared at the sorry state daemian was in, "well i'm sure he's been through worse at least." he commented almost heartlessly.

"good, don't want to touch him that's for sure. rather his girlfriend deal with it." his attitude was shifting to being quite unpleasant to say the least.

disturbed by the summoned creatures, Ice started to head off in the direction Daemian was taking them earlier. good god things just kept getting worse, the sooner this was over and he could get home to his arts and crafts the better. Daemian had turned out to be the cause of the things he hated most and erynn was a woman, period. he grimaced at his own reflections in thought.

"You got it. don't care, don't want to know. let's just get this over with." he had felt quite genuinely sorry before but well... that guilty feeling was fading. why bother feeling bad when he couldn't do anything about it? A sorry doesn't fix things, "just think after this we hopefully never have to see each other again alright? nobody's happy with how the missions turning out so far."

"What soul. You look like you don't even deserve existence with that weak flicker of what you call spirit. And while, yes he has been through worse, it's your own fucking fault he's going through what he is now. I should've waited for him to kill you."

Erynn was equally disgusted with this sick being. The urge to set him ablaze for the comments he freely spewed out about Daemian had her on edge. It was almost tempting enough for her to marr this fucker's face with a few more scars.

Just to make him pay. To see him squirm for-

"Erynn, hey, getting a little too out of it there. Focus child."
Dominus' words snapped her out of her thoughts, lips pulling up into a sneer. "Whatever, Dom." God, she was in a right fucking mood. Worry felt like ice in her chest as she looked closer to Daemian, trying to keep track of his breathing. Erynn's feathers ruffled as Ice opened his goddamned mouth, her head slowly turning to look at him out of the corner of her left eye.

"If I ever see you again, and Daemian is not with me. I will throw you into a pit that leads, literally, to hell. And watch as the flames consume you. Shut your fucking mouth, and keep walking where we're to go. I don't want to fucking hear you. I don't want to fucking deal with you. The less conversation we have, the better. Otherwise I'll leave your ass to the zombies and Horde- which we are in the Du'More territory now by the by. In case you wanted to know just what hell you're going to go through without our protection, they literally rape their prey before stringing them up over fires and pulling them apart. They then take whatever's left over and feed it to their animals, and since all you are is just a fucking ice cube- how would you like to be turned into mule piss? No? Then step up buttercup."

"Erynn, calm down. The child isn't in his right mind, and he's afflicted by more than one thing. Looks like the bastard made a mistake and got his short end of the stick that way. You can see his soul, tell me. Does that not look like one after a particularly bad run in with a couple of experiments?" Right, Dom and Dark couldn't speak in her brain when they were like this. Whatever he was hinting at would have to be enough, but god damn her throat hurt. She had fractured a portion of her right shin on Daemian's shoulder, which was what caused her limp. Even this slightest bit of pain stopped her from opening a true Pathway...

"well he's a tough boy then, he'll make it just fine." was all ice had to say. that would have been an unpleasant way to die, at the hands of a filthy being. It brought a bit of disgust to his face just thinking about it.

Ice whistled, "Kept in check by whatever the hell that is eh? And I thought I had weird friends of sorts." he commented after the thing labeled 'Dom' spoke. These things she had summoned were interesting. They were like... hm... well they were kind their own entity. If he were a more curious person he'd want to pick them apart.

Erynn was clearly pissed shutting his mouth wasn't the worse idea in the world. The elemental decided to take the woman's advice and pipe down for a bit, eyes focused on the path ahead. Du'More territory huh? He'd have to remember to stay the fuck away from it in the future. Erynn's precise knowledge definitely scared him. God what did she study them in college? Maybe it was just a made up story but all the same, no. Not coming here again.
He made another note to avoid Erynn in the future as well, she was as crazy as he was.

This thing speaking about him like that... it bothered him. He twitched a little and shoved his hands in his front pant pockets, not to look pitiful rather... to keep his own monster inside. Sometimes a simple metaphoric action helped. Beings that saw through him like crystal clear water disturbed him on a deep level. It threatened to trigger a particular side of him.
Caught up in his own thoughts and feelings, Ice didn't really notice or care to comment on the obvious pain Erynn was in. Let the beast be, that was his motto right now.

"And you... speak loudly, Dark."

Daemian groaned, the voice being strained from the effort to try and get him to just be a little quieter. Pressures under his arms, across his thighs and around other body parts indicated something held him down. His skin was pale, almost encroaching on ghostly white, his wings somewhat strapped to his back as well. The damaged leg was burning, pain striking through him. Dammit, why did he agree with trying to help Ice, this was so not worth it. His chest ached. "Would you two play nice, I've... got a headache..." That wasn't untrue. His head was killing him, but that didn't matter too much.

Attempting to find Erynn, and with an effort, he cracked his grey eye open. He froze. Right before him was a rather odd being, just... There. Standing or sitting, Daemian didn't know. But. It was there. Daemian scowled lightly, "You're that... kid?..." He struggled for a few moments, before the name suddenly came to him, "Dominus, you're more. . . Manic than I expected..." Technically, Dominus was just there. A flaming orange. And Daemian just stared, baffled.

A form shifted behind the orange fire, and Daemian shook his head, looking back up. Stars seemed scattered in his appearance, holding the power of the darkness itself. That was when he froze for a few moments. What on earth was going on, the figure, not too much taller than what Daemian stood, was standing tall behind Dominus. The starry night sky scattered through his appearance was almost a dead give away with who exactly he was. "And you're... Dark... Okay have I died and gone to some weird... version of hell?"

It was only after that comment that he caught a flicker of blonde to his left, "Erynn...?" He spoke, surprised with his own uncertainty in his voice. "Where are... we...? Are you okay- you're limping.." Goodness, talking put a strain on his body, his mind literally wanting to make him shut up and groan, tear away those bindings and tend to his own wounds. He growled lightly, wings pushing against the bindings, trying to snap them so he could scoop her up into his arms.

Just what on earth was going on? Why the hell was Ice there- he made a mental note to scold him later for that.

"Odd, I didn't figure you to be one so judgemental, Daemian. Though, yes, I have been often described as a maniac. Nothing new." Ofer Dominus, Dark shook his head. It was clear that he was growing irritated with the conversation, mainly leaning over Dae to check his bindings. "Erynn is putting all of her focus into hiding us as we go through Du'More territory. Part of her concentration is on holding you aloft, as well. Currently, we are in a spacial bubble created by her and my abilities. Fantell is very hard to keep up. And she's limping because she seems to have a greenline fracture and a slight bone bruise on her shin from flipping you back there. Speaking of which, are you alright?"

With that, Dark gently took on a more human appearance, the starlight mimicking Dae's body, minus the fleshy bits. The look that the Celestial had given the Shard was enough to let Dark know that such things were uncomfortable to him... Especially with the blood loss.

"Sorry dear... I can't speak anymore... Busy."

Erynn's hands were still spread out before her, eyes wide and blazing with that violet light as she continued to stride forward behind Ice. Granted, this was uncomfortable. The limp highlighted the agony she felt in her leg each and every damn step. Gritting her teeth, she kept her mind occupied with the thoughts keeping Fantell up.

If it were just me in here, I wouldn't have so many fucking issues. But with Ice harboring disgust, and Daemian waking up like that, it's getting a lot fucking harder to keep this up guys. Could you fucking do something here? I can't keep Fantell up around malevolence.

Ice looked over his shoulder at the two, "Good morning." he joked, "We got two little fucks joining the party and no, she's not ok." he flashed a smile with a soft chuckle, "How's the leg?" his comments were ironic and a little mean spirited of course, as the prick of all pricks decided to socialize again. The walk was really boring.

At least Dom was interesting in kind of a bad way. The necromancer seemed to know these guys too which was concerning. It made him quite suspicious, a skeptical look crossing his face as he stared at the entity for quite the long spell of silence after the other one spouted off a bunch of facts. They were starkly different in personality it seemed. This 'Dark' guy was actually concerned.

Erynn's limp was really problematic and it showed, "I think we're almost there, then we can all rest or some feel good shit like that." he was a little worried about her well being but not enough to go out of his way and offer help.

Silently, Daemian looked between the four of them but at Erynn's comment of being busy, Daemian gave a small sigh before ceasing his brow. Sure, his leg was crippled, his chest felt like it was being compressed by some weird thing, but he was far more concerned with her rather nasty limp. Ice was still there, but his tone was incredibly pessimistic. With a snarl, Daemian turned his gaze to him, "You... have... Explaining to do... You ungrateful hound." He said, his voice dangerously low, the sarcastic tone in his voice gone, replaced by anger. "I stopped so many of those creatures from turning around and tearing... you apart.." He gasped, the pain shafting through him even for speaking was incredible punishment.

But he could have sworn that he had seen Dominus probably smile at that. He doubted that the flicking flames had, but still- it was rather unnerving. Unsettling. Whatever.

"Why did you look, I told you not to. I knew what people do after they see my scars. They freak out. Just like you had, so why? Why look... Why did you look, only to snap and hurt me? Then open a bridge for the Eye to take me. I can only control a certain extent- but doing what you did..." Daemian's voice petered out into a hiss, a gasp of pain, his eyes squeezed shut to control what he felt.

The ropes were the only thing that held him from falling and coughing his lungs out. Dammit it hurt. It hurt more than what he wanted to acknowledge. He wanted it to stop. But no. It didn't. It never would and his body relaxed in the ropes. It was exhausting to have to shout like he had, the man shaking his head. "And you, silly... whatever you are... you've gotta stop making Erynn stab herself..."

He had no idea if that comment was directed at Dark or Dominus. But he decided that both worked.

Erynn had to keep her eyes shut tight, sweat beading her brow as she kept her arms stretched out by her sides. Taking a deep breath she grit her teeth as Daemian scolded Ice. The more malevolent feelings her boyfriend let out, the harder it was to keep up Fantell with him in it.

And then he had to fucking talk to both Dominus and Dark.

"She could just give in as easily. It's not like I'm that bad, I saved everyone from Saandra did I not? I even helped Dark heal her afterwards. Vyllaea was for the ah. Physical abuse, as it kept me from doing too much elsewhere. But we took care of the post trauma of the battle. You think she enjoyed watching the woman bleed?"

Dark let out a stiff sigh, shoving Dominus slightly before shaking his head. "I apologize for him, Daemi-oh by Light.."

Erynn had tripped on her limp, crashing into the ground with a sickening snap. Just like that, the bubble of spacial distortion popped, the area around them looking clearer than previously, the ropes holding Daemian up slicing off where the portal closed to let him fall. Dark struggled to keep his form, alerted to the danger Daemian was in.

She had broken her right tibia, the fragile bones cleanly breaking from the trip. Tears stung her eyes as she curled it to her chest, struggling with the scream of agony that broke through.

"FUCK!"

Ice shoved his hands in his pockets, "hey Daemian... Look I... You're right I shouldn't have looked and I couldn't help that reaction. Its uh... Its part of my species. You scare me, I don't think..." He took in a deep breath and gave a long exhale. The elemental fell silent, an uncomfortable expression on his face.

Didn't he decide it didn't matter? Didn't he decide he didn't care about Daemian? That he was a menace and so was his horrible woman? He ran a hand through his hair, tossling it a bit. Out of quite an old habit, he took out a handmade boot knife and began to chew on the gun oil slicked blade. Conflicted emotion brought insanity. His opinion and thoughts on the situation were muddied and unclear like stirred silt in a stream. His teeth grinded on the steel as he sunk into thought. Would saying anything even matter...?

Bewildered, ice looked over at the two. Shit shit shit. He felt panic rise, wernt they in that really bad territory!? The elemental rushed over to Erynn, she may have been a total bitch but he wasn't completely heartless. Shit what to do, what to do. Ice silently rolled her unto her back. He took of his jacket, tying it around her midsection in a manner that left excess on the top. He took on his wolf form and spoke in that chilling voice, "focuse.... On... Your... Magic... Girl..." He growled, taking the fabric In his mouth to pick her up by the makeshift harness. Frost crept over the cloth though left her perfectly alone. He stood on his hindquarters, taking a couple steps only stop and allow erynn a chance to recuperate a bit. It wasn't the most comfortable spot to be in by no means for her but it'd have to do.

Ice growled again, focuse on fear that we won't get home, focuse on that deep hidden terror that everything would go wrong and theyd be stranded here.
Not moving in this form was so fucking painful...it took all his willpower not to bolt and leave the two behind.

PostSubject: Re: Trial of Ice (private-ish)   Sat Jun 24 2017, 13:28

"ERYNN!"

The cry ripped from his throat, the ground suddenly rushing up to meet him, the bubble that she made having burst. The great ebony wings flew open, beating hard to keep himself from crashing into the ground himself. His leg flared from the movement, but Dominus's brace was holding for now. He ignored Ice for now, using his wings to push himself to his feet, "Oh my goodness sweetheart..." His arms would have wrapped around her, but Ice was already working. He snarled lightly at him, before he looked around them.

It only took him a few moments to notice the territory, especially after those deadly sounds sounded after Erynn's scream. Dear Light they didn't need this here!

Stamping his good foot back onto the ground, a light growl rose in his throat. He didn't know what to do, Isaac's clan being... what they were, he knew through Roshan. Dear Light what should he do!

Focus.

Inhaling deeply, Daemian stopped his racing pulse. Firstly, they were probably... Not living? Maybe? Or at the very least he could tell the souls. With a surprising calm, Daemian swept down, his wings bringing him to hover near Erynn. His hands gently cupped her cheeks, lips pressing against her forehead as the Eye opened once more. Instantly his powers activated, the familiar connection forming between him and those corrupt powers.

There you are, Daemian... We were beginning to wonder if you had truly died...

He fucking froze as dread flowed through him. That voice... All those years ago... Over eighty years ago... He would recognise it anywhere. Horror was shown through his eyes- but he knew they didn't hear it. How could they? They weren't connected to them, not like he was. He had to act fast. Daemian's hand slid into Erynn's, "Sweetheart, my dearest Erynn, squeeze my hand. This will hurt, but I don't have a choice. But I need you perfectly fine.." He tried to keep the desperation from his voice. The powers bent around his hands, acting on the thin layer of dead bone in Erynn's leg. Delving further down to draw his powers, his teeth gritted painfully. Slowly, he wrapped his powers around the break. "Erynn, harder sweetheart..." He said, tears welling in his eyes as she did what he said.

A second later, the bone cracked back into place, the bone fusing back together.

Oh, now that's fancy... Maybe it's a good thing you didn't die...

The souls behind Erynn and Ice flared to life, so, so many... How many... He didn't know... The clan was moving closer. Dear Light... there were so many... But he couldn't let her die- she couldn't think properly, not like she was. He turned to Ice, his gaze fierce. Downright DARING him to question his next words. "You run. You son of a bitch. Fucking run. Take Erynn. And run. The clan is coming. Get the fuck out of here." His powers wrapped around his leg, his scars beginning to bleed as he stepped past Erynn, looking back to her. Their eyes locked. He sent one message through to her... Goodbye, my love... Quickly, his mind focusing as he released her hand. Daemian only had one choice. But that one choice...

He knew they were working already to find him, he could feel it inside his soul. By Light he didn't want to go back, oh Light he was terrified... But for her... He do it once more. For her.

Where are you...

His wings spread out, blocking the two behind him. Black tears of regret flowed down his cheeks. Heart hammering in his chest, Daemian rose his hands once more. The final time. His soul fell, scars bursting with black, his face pulling into a snarl as a pain filled cry tore from his throat. Agony laced through his entire being, old scars reforming, his wings shattering in seconds, black ooze dripping from their broken tips. The pain threw him further down into the dark abyss, the place where the Eye dwelt.

And it snapped open, a vengeance more fierce than Daemian ever let out.

Instantly, he could see their bones. Over thirty members. Upwards of forty, their beings coming closer and closer... Daemian's blood continued to drop- but there was only one was to Erynn and Ice. And that was through him. The group poured over the rocks, through the paths, their cries, guttural and almost animalistic. They didn't even pause at Daemian's bloodied figure. His scarf fell away, the sadistic smile on his face sewn with black blood.

"FUCKING STOP!" He roared, his red chains lancing forward, invisible to virtually anyone aside from him. He commanded them to quickly wrap themselves around the bones of the undead clan. The sheer volume of people caused blood to well and snap at his wings, his body sacrificing itself to draw more power. Shackles bound to them, tearing the closest dozen down to the ground. Howling in pain, his powers bent further, grabbing seven to his right and six to his left with his chains and slamming them backwards. The last ones were almost on him by that point, and his chains to bind them to his commands came once more, almost slicing through their bodies and pinning them to the ground. Each body that struggled caused another crack in his bone, muscle to be eaten away from the sheer energy his body was exerting to keep them there.

"Turn. Leave. Now. No. Hunts." His voice was strained form the effort...

There you are!

As the undead had turned, already leaving. When he knew they wouldn't come back too quickly, the Necromancer released his control.
Daemian's eye shut, instantly its trance snapped. The moment he closed his eyes, he knew he had screwed up. His wings. Oh Light his WINGS! He collapsed to his knees, only for his leg to scream in a pain he'd never experienced before. But he forced himself to stay upright as vile black blood vomitted from his mouth. His legs burned. They fucking burned. Agony didn't even begin to cover the pain that he was experiencing... Why did it have to hurt so much... Why burn everything..? It wasn't as if he was put through a furnace... He looked up, seeing if Ice or Erynn were there. If they were, a sad, weak smile would form on his face. That's right... I'd go through any of this... all of this... just to make sure that you were safe, my sweetheart... "For you, my beloved Erynn... Run." He whispered, sure that they'd not hear him... His voice was so weak. He was weak. Weaker than when she'd met him, the powers he sapped from that monster destroying his Celestial body.

A portal, a colour unable to be described by him easily open behind him. Tears cascaded down his face, he couldn't see her again. Couldn't hold her against his chest, feel the blonde hair against his cheek. Oh Light no, if they caught her as well... No! "ERYNN! ICE! RUN!" Daemian screamed through his tears, feeling several chains arc through the portal. They broke through the skin, clamping against his arms, his shoulder, side and legs. Broken sobs came from him, his heart aching more than those wounds.

Forgive me, Erynn, for breaking my promise. For letting so many words be left unspoken... But please remember and know I never wanted to leave you. Never again...

The chains pulled taunt. His body ripped backwards, vanishing through the murky surface. The portal sealed shut. Just like that... History would repeat itself.

Daemian was gone.

Erynn stared at the place that Daemian had been in horror. Shock filled her veins like ice water, her brain unable to register the monsters that turned their heads back as the man that had halted them disappeared before her. He was gone. Daemian was gone. She couldn't feel him, couldn't feel him in the in-between, couldn't hear his laughter.

He was gone.

"Daemian?...."

Her voice cracked, the one word sounding like a gunshot in the near silence. No response. No tricks, no surprises. He wasn't playing with her. He had gone. Her.. Her boyfriend. The one that made her so calm, that chased away the horrible thoughts and memories. Gone.

Gone.

GONE.

Just like that, a hot, burning anger filled her. Molten emotion ran through her mind, her body rising of its own accord. Dark was saying something, as was Dominus- but she didn't care. She didn't turn her attention inwardly- not caring about the pain of standing on her legs. Her face was devoid of emotion as she opened a singular portal- the arrow shooting from it bouncing around through the undead around her. Sickening squelches filled the air as the steel of her fletched weapon splattered gray matter through the air, a congealed rust color staining the once gray soil beneath her. The stench of rotted and festering corpses filled the air, the magic keeping them alive ruined with their fresh deaths. But she didn't stop there.

More arrows bounced around, the entire field of pointless corpses falling before her.

Turning her gaze to Ice, she stared. Emotion failed her. She should feel guilty for blaming him, but she couldn't. The coward would probably run, hastily putting distance between the tragedy before him and the results of her anger and pain.

She didn't care.

Ice took in deep heaving breaths as he watched the tragedy unfold before him with unwavering, glowing eyes. His current form skewed his thinking, bringing forth strange thoughts. What was to be made of this situation? Something was taking Daemian and it was deadly. He was demanding something, to run? ... yes to run. that was all he could register.

Slowly he shifted to stand on his hind legs, taking in a long draw of air before releasing a horrifying pained howl. It ripped through the air like a blade, his fur bristling and shining with intense energy.
Emotion strung on the air, he could feel it on his skin like rushing water. Pain and suffering, so much agony, loneliness, the feeling of something being taken by a force like none other. This was winter and it brought an ugly, uncontrollable toothy grin to his muzzle. He understood it better then what Daemian was trying to say to him through words, "HE IS GONE." the monster looked at erynn, his body twitching and trembling as an icy tongue ran over his needle teeth with a soft 'clink clink clink' of ice against ice, "WE MUST GO. ACK, MOVE, MOVE."

the beast's body hunched over, claws fitfully scratching into the dirt, "MOVE!" ice violently shook his head, shards of frozen water splaying everywhere. it wet the ground a bit around him. He heaved another deep shuddering breath, "TOO LONG, TOO MUCH, MOVE." his broken words trembled and shook with his convulsions. the arrows around him was playing his fear like a harp, "IT HURTS!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. he couldn't just leave the woman behind but right now he couldn't grab her and take off. it might kill her. the ground around him was frozen solid, thick frost coating it in jagged layers.

why did she not feel it? why did she stick around?

he screamed and howled, feeding off the fear and pain with intense violent outbursts to the poor dirt. claws and teeth made deep imprints in the ground. the elemental was clearly in his own sort of mild agony.
